  • Exact match will get advantage
  • Keywords contained in the ads should also be in the page advertised by the ad
  • Write 10 articles and put link to a page linking to these 10 articles from your landing page

Ad Testing

  • Split testing (A/B/C) : get 2 ads to have the same performance then compare them to a third ads C
  • Quadrant testing: pick 2 headlines, 2 offers, and you get 4 ads. Run those, to see which headline, which offer is better
  • Look at competitor’s ads using keywords spying site like KeyCompte and SpyFu

Landing Pages

  • Bring the searcher as close as possible to their goal.
  • Each page should have a single goal : selling or getting the user to enter his email. Don’t offer the user many choices
  • Put an exit grabber popup if the visitor exit the page directly. In the grabber, suggest to the user a free report. Get his email and resend him the same offer after 2 days. Then enter him in your autoresponder sequence.

  • Some markets are better than others: Let’s take “Learn Spanish” for example, would it be better to target that keyword in Texas or South Dakota ? It’s better to learn Spanish in Texas. Don’t even try to sell snow shovels in Florida.
  • Some time, you use the google accelerator but your ads stop at 4 o clock because you run out of your budget; you can geo target a region and do the tests all the day to see how a 24 cycle run on your business.
  • You can geotarget all regions except your competition location. You will then be able to do all your testing : your competitors won’t be able to see it since you avoided their location. You can then hit the market once you have profitable keywords
