How to set up joint-venture and be a real "Guru"
In less than one year’s time, I went from an unknown online, to a so called "guru" of web marketing. How did that happen? And, more importantly, how can YOU use the same tool that I used to jumpstart your own eBusiness?
It all began with a joint venture.
A "joint venture" is a partnership where two different parties combine their individual resources for a mutually beneficial project. For example: I have a large email mailing list. And so, people with smaller mailing lists often approach me to promote their products. They have a resource in a product, but are limited in their contacts. I have a lot of contacts and am open to promoting the right offer. So, I promote their offer and keep a percentage of the sales. We both benefit in ways that would be impossible on our own.
Now, stay with me, because this is important.
I was an unknown. I didn’t have any contacts. And no one even knew my name. Who would want to promote it for me?
So, I put together a joint venture offer. Here is the offer that I made…
I wanted my potential partners to send a solo mailing to their entire list of subscribers to promote my new product.
In exchange for their solo mailing, I offered…
- To allow them to customize the solo mailing with THEIR affiliate. Any sales that came in would automatically earn them a 50% commission. Now, they’ve got a stake in it. There was profit to be made!
- 100% free reprint rights to an eBook that I wrote and was currently selling online. Here was another way for them to earn profits…and they could continue selling it long after the solo mailing was completed.
- A free membership to my membership site which was selling for $39.95 at the time. I already had a password and username established for them when I sent out the mailing. They could immediately check out the product prior to even accepting the offer.
- A free copy of an incredible internet marketing course that I had purchased reprint rights to. I spent $600 to buy the rights and the course was selling for $29.97. I gave them a free copy as part of the offer.
- A solo mailing to my own small, but growing, list of subscribers. They could promote anything they wanted to my list (as long as it wasn’t illegal or immoral).
Now, how do you think this joint venture offer went over?
Like I said, I went from an unknown to a guru in less than a year — and this joint venture is what kicked it all off. I sold THOUSANDS of dollars in memberships because of this project. *Literally* in less than 48 hours the sales began to come pouring in.
It was a HUGE success. And it jumpstarted an entire landslide of profits because of a SYSTEM that I had in place. I wasn’t about to be satisfied with profits from the one-time mailings that these partners did. I had a system in place that allowed me to continue profiting for months after that project was over. In fact, it continues to bring in profits for me EVERY DAY……well over 18 months later!
