Should You Write Your Own Sales letter or Hire a Copywriter ?

11 01 2007

A neat post by Paul Myers that I couldn’t afford not to forward it to you.

There are tons of benefits to understanding sales copy, and
even more to being able to write your own.

Let’s start with the first. Some of the benefits of
understanding the process of writing sales copy. Not actually
doing it, just understanding what’s involved.

If you sell anything at all online, you use sales copy to do
it. Whether it’s direct response copy, AdWords, article
marketing, signature files, or even audio and video files (they
do have scripts, after all), your copy is the critical element
to getting customers.

Monetize Your Niche Site With PPC And Product Creation

5 10 2006

This is where I go to niche-specific sites.

So I’ll set up a mini-course on my autoresponder with my content.

I like mini-courses better than just a free report to get them to opt in, because the free report is a one shot deal. I want to “train” them to be on the lookout for my emails, to anticipate them and open them. That way when (or if) my offer shows up in their inbox, it may have only been a day or two since they last heard from me, not weeks or months ago when they got their free report (in that case they’ll likely forget they signed up for your list and promptly delete your offer, unsubscribe, or report it as spam).

If I have a free report I want to use, I’ll simply break it up for my mini-course. But as this is a new niche, it’s unlikely I’ll have a report yet.

How To Choose The Most Moneymaking Niche And Start Earning Thousands ?

The work is already done for you ! You just need to put it to good use. As you can see in the previous article, piano is too broad a niche. It has a high amount of searches, but the bids for PPC traffic is too low. As a result, I would suspect that people are generally not making a lot of money with that search term.

Plus, the bid process also tells you a little about the moneymaking opportunities of a market. As a loose rule, if the max bid results are between 30 cents and $2.00, it’s a good indicator that people are making money in this market. I call this my “magic window.”

Over $2.00 means that the competition is too fierce for my tastes, but depending on your market and eventual product selling price and demand, it may make sense for you.

The Money Value Of Your Niche

Just because a sub-niche is popular doesn’t mean people spend money on it.

Amazon is a great place to see what currently exists for any given sub-niche. Chances are, the more books there are written on that subject, the more that market spends on those topics.

For example:

Finding the Best Niches in which to Market a Product or Service

27 09 2006

When selling a product, a lot of people make the mistake of developing their product first, and then trying to find a market for it. Of course, the process should be reversed.

Find a market first that spends money, then find out what they want and give it to them.

It is certainly easier said than done, but there are a lot of places online where you can do your market research for free. They’ve done most of the work for you already. You just need to know where to go and what to do to connect all the dots.

What’s a Plug in Profit Website And Who Is Stone Evans ?

15 09 2006

You’ve probably already heard of the Plug-in-Profit (to which many refer simply as PIPS) Internet Buzz. If not, let me just quote what Stone Evans, the founder of PIPs has to say about his program :

I will personally build a money making website for you
that’s 100% ready to take orders and pull in massive residual profits.

Quite tempting isn’t it ? Especially for the student full in debt I was at that time…
Well -I was tempted, and I remember that I’ve spent half an hour reading thoroughly through the sales pages, and this further raised my interest…

But as a student in debt, I was obliged to spend another hour doing several searches on the Internet about “Stone Evans”, the founder of Pips. I wanted to know who exactly was this “altruistic” person promising me quick cash and fully-loaded e-commerce websites for quite nothing.

Who Is Stone Evans ?

One of the biggest misconceptions that newbies have about Internet marketing is the believe that they must have truckloads of money to start an online business. I have targeted this article for newcomers with a low budget who wish to start a home business but are not quite sure where to begin: Here’s an idea…

Where To Sell My Articles And My E-books ?

19 08 2006

At this point, you’re probably wondering where you can actually sell your newly written article to generate the most profits the fastest. Well, that’s the easy part. Believe it or not. And it’s all based around the subject matter of your article!

The first thing you need to do is decide who your target prospects are. Or who it is that would be the most interested in buying your article. You figure this out based on the subject matter of your article. So, say if you wrote up a fantastic 3,400 word article on ridding your house of pet urine smells, then your best bet would be to find people that were either pet owners, or who sell pet related products. The pet industry would be your “niche” in this instance.

And those involved either directly(a seller of pet related products) or indirectly(a pet owner or purchaser of pet related products) would be your targeted prospects.

Focus On Your Target Readers

If you have an article related to making money from home, or an online business, you would want to find those most interested in using this type of content, such as Internet Marketers or people looking for ways to learn how to make money from home.

Making Your Article Sell

19 08 2006

Since there are so many “free” articles out there, you have to give your potential buyers something “extra” for spending their money on your information. A.K.A. - the article.

How can you do that? Well it’s pretty simple really. Offer them Private Label Rights to the article. “Hmm, sounds interesting”, you might say, “But what exactly are private label rights?”. I’ll tell you. When you offer someone the private label rights to your information, you are allowing them to claim authorship of your product. And, in most cases, also allowing them to make any changes they want to your finished product.

“Whoa!”, you say. “Hold on there. I though I was suppose to be making money off this deal? How can I possibly do that if I’m basically giving away all my rights to my product??!”
